This time, Lumasky landed in Eswatini — a small kingdom in southeastern Africa. To mark the 40th anniversary of King Mswati III’s reign, we delivered the country’s first-ever drone show and one of the largest drone displays ever seen on the continent.
Not every large-scale show starts with a detailed creative brief. In Eswatini, the initial request was just royal portraits and official greetings.
But we knew, with a massive fleet of 2,200 drones and a royal status of the event, the sky can tell a far richer story. After exploring the country’s culture and royal history, we proposed to build a narrative around Eswatini’s national identity. So on show day, the sky above Mbabane came alive with high-detail royal portraits, cultural motifs, honored animals, and scenes inspired by the country’s heritage.
This project proved again that even the most protocol-driven celebrations can become engaging when storytelling comes first.
Real Power of Drone Shows for National Celebrations
A spectacular drone show for a public event can become the image people remember for years — the moment that fills social media and unites thousands with a shared experience.
A city’s history in the sky, a message to the nation, and images people instantly recognize — it becomes a grand moment of city-scale celebration.
If you want to book a drone show for a major national event, these examples demonstrate what’s possible:
1,900 drone show for the Saudi Founding Day, KSA
2,000 drone show for New Year celebration, Zimbabwe
2,000 drone show for Spring Celebration, Tajikistan
