Crypto’s elite asked for a jaw-dropper at TOKEN2049, the world’s largest crypto event held in Dubai. That’s the test we faced:
- launch 1,500 drones from a luxury beach hotel without disrupting guests or breaking the short setup window
- and, set a Guinness record while melting in 40°C heat.
4 hours was all we got.

The mission impossible checklist:
- Location: Madinat Jumeirah’s packed beach
- Timing: 4 hours to remove umbrellas and sunbeds, set up a launchpad, rehearse, launch, then pack up and leave in 3 hours
- Precision: sync drone animations to “Who Let the Dogs Out” under the watchful eye of a Guinness judge.

The payoff? 1,500 drones lit up the sky to form TON, DOGS and Notcoin logos, and celebrate Telegram messenger’s 1 billion users. What’s more, they set a Guinness World Record (the 5th one on a Lumasky’s track record) for the largest drone formation of a bone. Breathlessly enjoying the show, the guests were completely unaware of the backstage routine that made this crypto drone light show in Dubai possible in the first place.

Thus, mega-shows CAN work in hyper-restricted venues, despite venue politics, traffic and challenging weather. Just like our BONK coin drone show at TOKEN2049 — where we battled Dubai’s historic floods to deliver a dazzling display.
