Some museums open with ribbon cuttings. TeamLab entrusted us with the unprecedented:
two massive 6,300 drone shows to be launched with a 2-hour difference.

It’s technically impossible ー was our first thought. However… We launched a double captivating drone light show over Abu Dhabi’s Saadiyat Island on the opening day of teamLab Phenomena.
Designing an Art-First Concept
We spent a month developing an unthinkable concept the drone show industry had never witnessed before.
We designed animations that dissolved boundaries between physical and digital: drones morphed from structured lines into organic shapes mirroring teamLab’s “borderless” philosophy. A drone display interacting in real-time with the building’s projection mapping, lighting, lasers, and pyrotechnics immersed the audience into the very heart of the event.
Synchronized to Ludovico Einaudi’s live piano, it proved that when art and technology merge, true magic happens.

Engineering the Impossible
– Executed two 6,300 drone shows just 2 hours apart, which we have never yet done before, but managed thanks to extra drone batteries and extra helpers
– Integrated 200 pyro drones into our drone animation to enhance the visual drama
– Built signal boost towers to cover 700 meters from location to the flight zone
– Conquered desert winds that threatened to rewrite our animations.
That night made history: setting the GCC’s largest drone show record, with VIPs and celebrities too mesmerized to film as technology became art.
The emirate’s newest cultural landmark is now open to the world, and we were happy to announce it with a groundbreaking drone show in UAE.
