8 Drone Shows at 1 Event

Lumasky was invited to tell ‘Stories from the sky’ as part of a multi-dimensional nighttime experience at Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage site.

After a horse-drawn carriage tour, attendees were guided to the drone show site. As a final point in their already overwhelming journey, the show had to be nothing but the cherry on the cake.

Our authentic animations featured ancient civilizations, AlUla landmarks, giant portraits of Tutankhamun and Nefertiti, the famed incense route and more. For a deeper immersion, it was synced with the 3D mapping on the background mountain, and the bilingual narration. This truly captivating spectacle left every single guest speechless for a while.

We launched a drone show twice a night over 4 days making it an overwhelming experience for thousands of visitors.

Too Much Sand

Hegra is all about sand. It continually blew onto the launch site, posing a threat to the drone motors and to the show itself. To prevent this, we covered the fence with cloth, swept the launch site, and inspected the drones for sand grains.

By taking these steps, the team ran all 8 shows without issues.

Impression That Will Last

‘Hegra After Dark’ was an extraordinary multi-format event held in terrific landscapes, and Lumasky drone show helped to enhance its dazzling effect.

The event is going to last till February 2025. We can’t wait to be back to tell more stories from the sky!

Location: AlUla, Saudi Arabia
